K.H.Koo Doctoral postgraduates’ scholarship award ceremony 2012 was held at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) on 3rd July 2013. Mr. Kenneth Koo, Group Chairman and CEO of Tai Chong Cheang (TCC) Group, accompanied by Captain Lu, General Manager of Tai Chong Cheang Steamship (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., made a special trip to the university to present the awards. Mr. Koo visited the President of SJTU Mr. Zhang Jie and discussed further cooperation for talent cultivation and technological innovation.

During the ceremony, University’s representative Mr. Yan Liangyu expressed their sincere gratitude to the great contribution of three generations of the Koo family to Ningbo’s and China’s shipping industry.

Mr. Kenneth Koo presented the awards to three students Dai Lei, Liao Hu Chang and Xie Wen Min, and encouraged the winning students to establish ambitious aspirations, and be a responsible person to make contributions to the shipping industry, society and the country.

Established in 2008 by Mr. Kenneth Koo in memory of his late father, the K.H.Koo Doctoral postgraduates’ scholarship of Shanghai Jiaotong University awards outstanding doctoral postgraduates in the field of shipping and logistics for their unique insights, research papers, and other outstanding performance to inspire them to use their expertise to contribute to the development of the shipping and logistics industry.
